Karate Year 2022/23
Posted on September 19th, 2022 by Stephen DeGrace
For the 2022/23 karate year, we have elected not to reopen, due to pressures around instructor availability. This is not a decision we take lightly, and we regret any disappointment or inconvenience this causes. Our remaining group is training with the the Island Karate Club in Stratford, and we encourage you to check them out. We remain committed to the furtherance of Tsuruoka Karate-Do on Prince Edward Island, and will weigh our options next year.
Karate Winter/Spring 2022
Posted on December 22nd, 2021 by Stephen DeGrace
For the remainder of the karate year, we will plan to continue to train with our sister Tsuruoka Karate-Do dojo, the Island Karate Club in Stratford, with some limited classes in our own dojo as facility access permits. We will not be taking new registrations until Sept. 2022. This change will address the uncertainty around access to the facility and public health orders that exists right now. We will let you know if anything changes. Sincere thanks to all our members for your support!

Circuit Breaker Karate Cancelation
Posted on February 27th, 2021 by Stephen DeGrace
In light of the circuit breaker restrictions recently put in place to stop the chain of transmission of COVID-19 on Prince Edward Island, we have taken the decision to cancel karate classes until the end of the circuit breaker, currently scheduled for Mar. 14. That would take us into March Break, when there is no classes anyway, so the next planned day back at class is Mar. 24. We will try and post training material to our Facebook to help people train at home. Everyone stay safe, we will get through this together!
